This marks the first weekend that I have spent in my home in a very long time.
And to celebrate, why yes I have been cleaning all weekend.
Well, I did spend time with the girls, who I have not seen in a long time. Had dinner and drinks with them.

Also ran into Lauries brother, who I last saw when he was 12. She is married to Derick and expecting her first child anyday now. Strange.... but she has gotten everything that she has wanted, and I could not be happier for her.

The boy was thrilled to get tickets to the Notre Game Football this weekend. He,his father and brother went to the game this weekend.
Leaving me to stay at home, while he gets to play.
However, not complaining however. Last weekend I was away in London with my sisters and her friends in London. Another whirlwind trip. Although I have lost my shopping mojo. It has expired. Sadly... I am sure visa will be sad as well.

Might have the chance to renew my powers though as Char, Angela, and I are goint to Pensyvania next weekend on a shopping tour. Should be interesting.

I am most happy to announce my return to the world of ..... EVERYTHING.

Since I am no longer working for the airline for the winter. I have not been fired (yet).

So I am allowed to have a life again.

I am also, even more excited to share my new favorite toy.

I purchsed an ipod nano, as my computer was having isssues and I thought that I might have to wipe it clean... and soon after found this little gadget.

It rocks. I have manged to log 53 kms last month, and am planning to hit 60 this month. It is just so exciting as I am not a runner, but am trying to make myself into one.

So hear I sit. Waiting patiently for my schedule to be released from the airline.
And I find myself in a place that I did not think I would be.
You see, I think that this might be the end of my flight attendant days.
I have my heart set on travelling in Spain next month, and am convinced that my schedule will not permit it.
And with all things that you are eager to see, they take so freakin long to be realized.

3:30pm and they arent out yet.
They are 30 minutes late.

Its like they know I am waiting impatiently, and are laughing at me.

Hurry Up all ready.

this weekend marks my return to the airline.
kind of a strange weekend for me.
so used to packing to go to london.
stocking my suitcase with microwave popcorn for my sister.

but this year she is off in barcelona, and i am headed to glasgow.
one of my most favorite cities!!!

but strange of strange... i recieved a package from barcelona!!!
full of fabulous treats.
cant wait to visit barcelona!!!!

things have been a bit odd for me as of late.
not so interested in shopping!!!
shocking i know.

but i guess that i just really have everything that i think that i need.

i only bought myself one present.
a fab pair of bronze metallic slouch boots with a round toe and a thick heel.
they are quite neat.
and the most important thing is that they were on serious sale.
not 85pounds, but a fabulous 5 pounds. love the NEXT outlet.

things are well with the boy.
he tried to tell me that i may not see him for the next month as the world cup begins.
he laughed that european ladies complain that they dont see their men for a month because of the games.
i tolf him that was nice, but we do not live in europe.
on that note he has been much more attentive lately.

ahhh dating.
what a challenge.

the elephants are seriously dancing in heaven.
either that or someone is moving and isnt strong enough to lift the furniture.
or their is one bad ass temper tantrum going on.

it has been crazy hot here over the last few days.
to the point that I have turned on the ac.
yes, me and the ac.

my boy stayed over the other night and i could not even sleep as it was so hot.
so cute, he wanted to cuddle, but it was too hot.
so i turned on the ac the next day.

i dont mind heat, but not that kind.

getting ready for my return to the airline.
excited as I get to go to glascow this weekend.
one of my favorite places.

i love to go for tea and watch all the old ladies sipping on tea and munching on their nibblies.

just not looking forward to the lack of sleep.

I think that it all started when we had to make anunschedeled stop in Winnipeg.I have been fortunate to have never spent alot of time in hospitals. So I was surprised that they had a table set up at the entrance with thatsanitizing gel to clean your hands.Bless health care in Canada, but we did not want to touch a thing. We (and I say we, as my whole entire family) quickly became obsessive to putting it on when ever we touched anything. I think influenced by the lovelysecurity guard who told us not to sit on certain chairs as they had seen some unpleasant bodily fluids (I dont want to know which ones) Soon after my return, I became very concious of everything that I touched.Thinking that everything was covered with germs. My students now know that the should sneeze into their elbows, not intotheir hands. Germs that they sneeze into their hands then end up on door handles and then the next person who touches the door picks up their germs. Its kind of a joke now that we point out to each other, look i rememberedto sneeze into my elbow.Somehow I have developped a serious dislike to germs and sneeze juice. So one of my lovelies today sneezed into his hands. I was putting thingsinto the cupboard and had my back to him.EWWWWWWWWWWWWW he sais the moment the sneeze escaped him as he looked intohis hands. I, catching only the ewww and him looking into his hands, directedhim to go to the bathroom immediatly and wash his hands. The kids started laughingat me as I was obviously very distressed. He got up and headed to the door, and Itried not to look at him. He tried to wiggle his fingers in my face. Which sent me dancing off to the other side of the classroom. One girl yelled, Miss dont let him touch the handle. So I raced to open it for him and sent another kid with him to open the bathroom door.I swear!!!! I have issues.

Seems like things might be taking a turn.

Today is a fantastic day for you, KATHRYN, in which elements of your life seem to be naturally falling into place. You are at a period in your life in which you are beginning brand-new cycles of love and mental pursuits. Today, those beginning points are highlighted, and you should focus on making a conscious effort on how you want to be remembered in the future. Your heart and mind are working harmoniously today so take advantage of this opportunity to lay some well thought out plans.

Thanks for the cava induced phone call!!!

so it looks like i have a new boy toy. (H)
someone that i know from high school.
saw him last june at a dance (for the kids)...

anyway, as fate would have it our paths have crossed again.
really nice guy!!
he was away for the weekend with his school and brought me presents back. so very unexpected but so greatly appreciated.

we also had the boyfriend girlfriend chat, your not seeing anyone else are you chat initiated by him :) just what every girl wants to hear. it's been a month since we've been hanging out and things are good. feel like i am a teen again. well i am old enough to be two teens. but it feels nice to be appreciated and to have someone to appreciate.

he's not a phone guy, and me neither. so that works well, and he is busy coaching so not upset that i have things to do myself.

respects my schedule!!!
likes to kiss and cuddle!!!
calls when he says he is going to!!!!

wish my heart luck on it's adventure.
shhh i'm nervous.

this morning i saw the cutest old lady buying a bun from the bakery.
she had a little plastic hood wrapped around her neck, and her husband was waiting for her at the table.
i loved that her hair was in an updo. a 1950s updo, that looked more like the bun that she had in her hand than it did a hair do.

So here I sit, on a Friday afternoon, trying not to run out the back door of the building.
Soooooo challenging.
After having spent a week in detox from the fresh bread, amazing cheeses, and beer, wine, and cava that we consumed. (Some of us out now grounded from drinking cava)... I know have the inspiration to update this blog.

Spending time with my sister in Barcelona was excellent. We went to her gym that has a sea view. So fab. Can't wait for the summer to visit it again. We also went to a spinning class complete with a disco ball, and flashing lights. Sooooo fun.
Also got a taste of riding a bike again. Soo funny because I spend so much time on the spinning bicycle. It is so not the same. Seestor has perfected cruising the vendors down by the marina to buy knock off purses and shades. Funny to see them scatter when the police drive by.
We also got to go to see a concert of a project not a band... 08001. Fabulous. S kindly got me a copy of their disk.

It is just such a different lifestyle. I could quickly get used to.

I also went to shoe heaven. Oh my!!!! Rarely speechless, but there i stood bouche bee. Everything arranged by colour.

Funny how fast the time went.... and now am back at the grind, just dreaming of where my next trip will lead me.

My life summed up in point form:

1. Had a date (?) the other day with someone that I used to hang out with in high school. Funny how things do and don't change over 17 years.
2. Got asked if I was a pro volleyball player on the way out of starbucks the other day. No! Not at all mr man in a cut off tshirt in march. damn that passion tea!!!!
3. decided that i still cannot pack properly after all my travels.
4. checked in on line for my flight to lhr this evening. what a treat. now i can just walk onto the plane. how convenient.
5. have seen my future, after helping grandma clean out her spare room. thrilled to make clean sweep come to life in her home. WOW!!!!
6. babysat lisa's little angels. thought that i might have a rough time..... no such luck. they were sooooooooo cute. and when we got up this morning he was sleeping on the floor. then he chased me out of the house with bye's and kisses.

wish me luck on my travels..... it will be a long day.

but pics and info from barcelona to follow.
