So I am talking to my roomate this morning and glance down at her purse.
Seestor, you will appreciate this one.
I was trying to read the name of the ourse makeer, and was having trouble focussing.
As I leaned closer, what did I see.
MANDARINA DUCK.
I was very impressed that I could place the maker of the purse, and had a story to add to the conversation.

Weekend Update

Surprise parties can actually work.
Going out with your ex can be fun. (weird but fun)
It is UNPRECEDENTED!!
Taco Taco cannot drink as much as he used to.
There is nothing worse than having to clean up vomit. (Not something I have ever done)
Sometimes your own bed is best to sleep in.
Some people you can talk to rarely, but still can pick up where you left out.
It is not so nice to hear about how people get to travel when I am stuck at home.
My cousin is a GREAT hockey player.
We designed the perfect hockey stick (can't reveal the details)
There isn't a hole in my roof, that was just large balls of hail smashing against the house.
You will get a parking ticket if you park on the street, facing the wrong way, outside my house.
No one has the pink sling backs that I have pictured in my mind.
Someone's answering machine was not working when I called this afternoon. (SARAH)
My Jean Capris look smoking with my beauty blue stillettos.
There is an end to Paul's studies (Masters. PhD, and Law School. He is planning on stopping.)

And here I thought that I did nothing this weekend.

As someone recently quit writing their blog, I have been struggling to get the energy to update this site myself.
Seeing as she is only one of two people that write it, I am struggling to continue.

But I am not a quitter. Not yet anyway.

And the truth is that there is not much to report at all.

We have just finished report cards that go home next week and have to prepare for parent teacher interviews.

The good news is that the weather seems to make a turn for the better. We are looking for a high of f15 or 16 this weekend. That is great news for me as I it means that Club 2:20 (20 meaning the temperature) will soon be open. Sangria for everyone!!

Have the incense that my coworker gave to me burning in the background, creating a fab vanilla and fruity aroma and my bed is looking good to me.

Hope that all is well!!

Love KJ

So I bought a t-shirt yesterday. What a blast.
It says in big black letters on a pink shirt...
I kissed Ben.
And how many people asked me who Ben was.
I replied, I'm sorry I don't kiss and tell.
It was funny at the time.

I also think that I might have a future as a matchmaker. I managed to hook up three of the girls last night.

And I didn't make an ass of myself. (I think)

Oh, I want these shoes.

just one morning, i would like to wake up and put on a pair of matching socks.
not only ones that are almost the same colour, but match.

a girl can dream.

One of the hardest things about travelling is coming home. And for me that was very true as my flight was very delayed last night.
That aside, I always cry when I leave my sister. Silly, I know, but I can't help it.
It is hard to think that she is there all alone, even though she has her friends that are LOVELY, it is not the same as family.

And that aside, we had a great adventure this last week. Some things to be discussed, others put into the vault forever.... (Hmm, is your mind wandering?)

We have decided to become spokeswomen for the loft in Barcelona, so if you need some advice you can let us know.

Would love to tell you of all the items that I purchased, but at this moment I can't remember. Something about getting home at 12:30 last night (YYZ time or 5am LHR time) and having been up since 10 am (LHR time- 5am YYZ time)

But I am sure that the details will follow.

But for now, no afternoon siestas, of beer for breakfast, or cava for lunch, or "Just one more drink" at 3am.

Back to the reality of my little monsters, and my weight lifting, and my spinning classes.

And dreams of my next escape from the great city that I live in to another European adventure.

Because anyone who knows me, knows that I can't go anywhere without making or causing or witnessing a scene.

Thanks for the great time sister!!!

Miss you already!!!

They say that Gin is party remover.
I beg to differ.

I think that Tom Jones is panty remover.

What? you ask.

I went to see him in concert last night. What a wild evening. I wondered why there were security guards at the stage, and minutes into the stage wathced the stream of ladies of ALL ages sauntering down the aisle with "panties" (hate that word) and sling shooting them at the poor man.
It got to the point that they had to bring a broom onto the stage and sweep them all off. I could not belive my eyes.
The cake goes to the woman who did a little strip tease down the aisle and was swinging a full length fur coat around and then threw it onto the stage.
Those security guards sure got a work out.
Who would have thought?

Would I go again?

You bet!!!

Friday was my unbirthday.

Ahead of schedule I recieved a cake and presents and champagne.
I laughed that they were trying to make me older faster. They said they just wanted cake.

There is a girl that I know that celebrates her birthday all month.
I however choose to celebrate in for a weekend!!!

A busy week coming up as I am off to see Tom Jones on Tuesday night with Lisa. Look out!!! Girls night out. Also busy with my course at Western and a group project (YUCK)

But the most impotant thing is that I will be heading to London, and then Barcelona on Friday night.

YIPPEEEE!!!!

So I have just returned from spending the afternoon with Ryan at the hospital.
He is looking much better, and starting to move around a little more. It was heart breaking to leave him alone there tonight. I would hate to be there by myself. I decided that I would commit to a weeknight as I know so many more people go on the weekends.
That and I can miss a night at the gym for a great reason.
If you had told me a month ago that we would even be on speaking terms, I would have laughed.
Amazing how a near death experience can have such an effect.
Awakened feelings that I have not felt in a very long time. We won't even go there though.

And I was so sad that the Best Little Pork Shop is closed for the season. It is my favorite place. (This from the girl who says that she is almost a vegie except for the fact that she likes to eat sausage.)

So there I am eating my dinner last night. (Ultra Low Fat cottage cheese, spinach, vegetable soup mix, and water chestnuts... sounds gross, but is quite tasty.)
And watching the news talking about how you no longer have to put a 5% down payment on a home purchase, and you can now get a 100% home loan. And then they shoot to the "EXPERT" who discusses the pros and cons of borrowing such money.
Who should that expert be?
CALUMN ROSS.

LOL

Trying to think about what I should write today that would beat the pringles bit, can't beat it though.

Imagine this. Shrove Tuesday.
70 teachers dressed in their PJ's.
I wanted to stop at the store on the way home. Imagine the looks that I would get and how would I explain our crazy tradition.

Thursday, February 19, 2004

A funny observation.
What happens when an irrate parent eats up your lunch, and you have no time to eat lunch, and then you nibble on bbq pringles and then go to a spinning class with 21 other bodies and cycle for 75 minutres?
Sweat that tastes like bbq pringles.
And they said that I could never be a science teacher.

It is amazing how quickly you can cherish life.
Even the life of someone that you have not spoken to in a long while. Or someone that I had not even thought of for a very long time.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Ryan.
Is it wrong to stop dating someone because they are rude to wait staff?
I only ask because I think that the way someone treats a server reflects highly on thier personality.
If you are sharp and cheap... well that is what you must be like.
I am not TOOO generous with tips, but I think that you must have some respect for wait staff.

Thoughts?

Remember that show. I think it was Romper Room. Where they held up a mirror and named off all of the people that they could see. And every child sitting in front of their tv set waited with anticipation for their name to be called?
Well, I was thinking that was what my Saturday night was all about. I saw so many people that I used to hang out with (and the nice ones not that one!!) It was kind of wierd. A time warp moment for sure.
And then I became an idiot. Something about the combination of beer and cosmopolitans just made me silly.
And then I spent the whole day yesterday thinking about how stupid I am, and how I should never drink again.

Why do things sound good when you are doing them, and end up being the worst idea in the morning.

I believe that my sister stated it best.

It all ends in Vodka

More excitement at the gym.
I met a super hero.
Dressed from head to toe in a green shinny spandex outfit.
I wonder what her super powers were.

Tuesday, February 03, 2004

So I think that there is a problem at my gym.
And I hesitate to comment on it as I was myself an offender last week.

There I was on my bike, in the heart of my spinning class. We are in the climbing position, and I look over into the mirror. I am looking fine. Dark shorts (with school logo), and a white tank top. But wait a minute, what is that popping out of the back of my shorts. MY UNDERWEAR is creeping over the waist of my shorts. Had it been white or dark underwear, no problem. But it was not dark or white. It was a very unforgiving shade of pink.

This leads me to the concern that I wanted to discuss today!

People are unaware of how trashy it is to have their underwear hanging out. I know that is the hip hop style. But at the gym?

Now, I am not trashy. (Hmmm..)
I had a momentary lapse.

But some people have their drawers on display all the time.

And then there are the people who wear platform runners?
The people who wear the work out suits from the eighties over top of their spandex shorts?
People who run around in shorts?
People who think that sport bras are tops?
Men who wear short shorts? (That is an accident waiting to happen)
I am sure that we have all seen our share of crazy outfits.

My mother would say that I spend too much time looking at other people and not enough time training.

I would say that I am just observant to the vicious fashion crimes being committed at the gym.

So I have decided that I have an obsession.
But just one that I will confess to.

The one thing that I have to do is clear the crusty snow that gets caught up in the wheel well of my car.

Whenever I get in or out of the car, I do the walk around and knock all of the snow out of the wells.

Why is it then that I think that I have an obsession?

Not because I do it every day.

Oh no...

Becuase yesterday on my way into the gym, I had to make a serious effort to not clear the wells of a strangers car.

I have issuses.

Tuesday, January 27, 2004

And then there was snow.
And a hell of a lot of it.
I think 10-15 last night and another repeat perfomance again this evening.

No complaints from me though. It is winter. I do live in Canada.

And I actually enjoyed the shovelling this morning at 6am. Kind of a great way to wake yourself up and get the day started.

They say that there is an increase of people who pass away form heart attacks when there is alot of snow. People over exude themselves.

My coworker says that she sits at the window and watches her father as he shovels, for she fears that he will kick the bucket. I asked her why she didn't just shovel it herself.

Another joke, a lady was walking past the window, and saw her husband collapse into the snow.
She raced outside thinking that he ahd just hard a heart attack.
She got outside and saw him wiggling around in the snow making a snow angel.

Hmmmm
