This weekend marks my first visit to the Opera. When we were going up the escalator in search of the toilet (as the martinis were working their magic) we heard a pre-performance speaker say that he had hear a young couple outside saying this was their first opera, and how he longed to go back to that experience. It was very ironic as it was our first opera, but we were not a couple. We were seated close to the rear of the Humingbird Centre, but had rented binoculars. It was a really great performance. The music was moving, the voices spectacular, and the sets and costumes breathtaking. I will be returning to the opera again soon.
I also saw that they are building lofts www.londoncondos.ca with the tag line of if you love London, you will love these. I love London, might I love the condos? I have pre registered.
I also bought some shoes this weekend (shock and horror). The are cute silver sparkly shoes that I wanted so desperatly last summer. (For a large fraction of the cost of the ones I had wanted.) Am thinking that I need to put together an album so that I can keep track of what shoes I do have.
Tomorow is Shrove Tuesday, and we get to wear our PJ's to school tommorow. The rookies have to cook us brunch. It should be fun. Pictures maybe?
