Having been without my computer all weekend, was so excited to come to work this morning. I showered and primped and then made a b-line to work.
Only to get here and find out that the server was down.
I was devastated, and even tried to hook up a land line to the computer. Desperation!!
Thank goodness, when I tried a few hours later it was back up and running.
Thank you to everyone who filled up my inbox. And my particular to those lovely people who keep sending me invites to sample products to make my penis longer and stronger.
I have been discussing with the kids today the traditions that they and their family share. Interesting that most of them revolved around religion. At a stage in life where they start to revolt against the ideas that go with religion, it is interesting to see that default to religion when they can think of nothing else. Also, ironic as well, they identify these traditions around commercial events (that are as well religious events.) Interesting!!!
I was thinking about traditions this weekend as well. My favorite one that my family has, revolves around the Hail Mary Medallion. Somewhere in the past the idea of pinning a Hail Mary Medallion to your pillow case would keep you safe at night. It then progressed to giving a Hail Mary Medallion to all of my friends to pin on the inside of their wedding dress, to be transferred to their pillow case after.
And in a further extension, when my Father passed away, we left him with a Hail Mary Medallion for his travels so that he would travel safely. From that day, I have worn my Mothers necklace and medallion, and she has kept his necklace and medallion for herself. I feel such a connection with my family. As all of us women wear one. Even as I write this I smile as I think of the connection that we share.
