The most interesting thing happened today. I was thinking about what I was going to ask the kids to write about tommorow in their journal. I decided that we would write about expressions that we use everyday that have lost all meaning. I was thinking about "SORRY" I hear it a hundred times a day and am convinced that people default to sorry. Not that they really mean that they are sorry, but they say it anyway. Anyway, I was thinking abbout that this morning.

This afternoon the kids were doing some work, when louder than all the other conversations, I heard a student say... "You've said it so much that it has lost all meaning." I couldn't believe it. Of all the strange coincidences. So I quickly wrote it on the white board so that I could use his expression as an intro tommorow.

I am anxious to see the list that the kids generate tommorow. I will keep you posted.
